With a combination of Aqara HomeKit devices , you can make a simple security system for your home. The Aqara HomeKit security package includes:

• 1 Aqara Hub M1S – Hub for connecting HomeKit devices. Loudspeakers, doorbells.
• 1 Aqara Motion Sensor – Detects suspicious movements while you're away.
• 1 door sensor Aqara – Detects unauthorized intrusion in your home.

The devices in the Aqara Security Package are easy to install and use. However to be able to set the automatic for the security package, or remote control. You should have at least one Apple Home hub like: iPad, Apple TV, HomePod.

How to create an alarm from the Aqara HomeKit Security Package

It sounds complicated, but it's very simple to do.

Step 1: Configure Apple Home hub ( How To) . If you have an Apple Home Hub available, you can skip this step.

Step 2:  Connect the Aqara security sensor system.

• Set up the Aqara Hub. ( Details on how to do it ). Note: Use only 2.4GHz Wifi, when setting up Aqara devices
• Connect Aqara's door and motion sensors to the Aqara Gateway.

Step 3: Create an Auto launcher when the sensor detects motion. These functions can only be used in the Automation tab of the Home application.

You should stick door sensors in important areas. For example: main door, window. These are vulnerable areas when you're away. Motion sensor is suitable for places such as gates, corridors where few people pass. When going out, you can activate any of the contexts to turn on home security.

How the Aqara Homekit security system works

The way this system works is very simple. When you activate away mode, you have enabled security mode. At that time, the areas you use the sensor to control will start to work. If someone opens the door during this time, the buzzer of the Aqara Hub will sound an alarm and send you a notification. Same goes for motion sensors. You can use multiple door sensors for every door in your home. If you are often at home, you can automatically turn on security at night in the Automation settings.
