Aqara is a brand specializing in Apple Homekit compatible smart devices. Aqara has a lot of affordable devices, and the newest one is the smart switch. Compared to the old Aqara switch version, switch D1 has many special improvements. Like design, features, buttons, sensors….

Smart switch with built-in sensor

The Aqara D1 switch has a built-in temperature sensor, short circuit and overheat protection fuse. Automatic shutdown when the temperature is over 65 degrees. Always ensure the safety of users. Also the Aqara D1 switch is made of high quality flame retardant plastic. Long-term durability, limiting oxidation due to UV rays and the environment. The switch surface has an LED that shows the on/off status of the device. Shows which lights are working, helping to see clearly at night.

Smart control at your fingertips

Switches Switches Aqara direct connection with your phone. Make ordinary light bulbs smarter. Unlike Philips Hue or Yeelight, bulbs with E27 sockets just need to be installed and used. Then specially designed light bulbs have no choice but to add  smart switches . You can control it via  the Home app , just like other normal Apple HomeKit devices. You can combine with other devices to control with switches such as fans, TVs, etc. (In case your home uses all Apple HomeKit products). You can also ask Siri to help you turn devices on and off instantly.

Set up automatic scenes to start the day perfectly. Suggest you some context for your home, usually like:

• 06:30 Set a gentle wake-up scene to tune the system the way you want it.
• 07:00: Turn on the lights when detecting people moving. Turn on lights wherever you go after you wake up with an Aqara motion sensor.
• Turn off the lights even when you are working. Need to leave now? Turn off all the lights in your home through the Home app with just one tap.
• 19:30 Open the door and activate the lights. Lights will automatically turn on to greet you when you arrive at your home with  the Aqara door sensor .

*Note: Aqara devices always need a Xiaomi Mijia HomeKit Zigbee 3.0 Hub to use full functionality with Homekit.

High quality Aqara D1 switch, optimized design

Dual switches are designed to allow users to control up to 3 separate devices. Power up to 2200W for cold wired switches. The keys are large and have good elasticity, promising a long service life. Therefore, the feeling of pressing is quite light and does not make a lot of noise. Outside the plastic shell are high-grade copper contacts. For better conductivity efficiency and higher durability.

The Aqara Light Switch is combined with the Panasonic 16A Electric Relay. Can control lights from 3W to 1600W. Equipped with a temperature detection chip and a 5A fuse, it can automatically shut down when it detects a load greater than 1600W. Or the internal temperature exceeds 65 degrees Celsius. The panel can be switched up to 50,000 times.

For loads of LED lights, you calculate the total power of the lights on at the same time and multiply by 3 to calculate the maximum starting load that the switch can withstand. If after x3 it is still below 800w for 1-button type, and below 1600W for 2-button type, it can be used. If your load is exceeded then a 2200W . Cold wired switch should be used
